EHR as a service – January 2022 update

The Health Care Authority (HCA) would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy New Year and provide a quick update on our efforts to procure and provide electronic health records (EHR) as a service to behavioral health, rural, long term care, and Indian healthcare providers. We last updated you on November 1, 2021.

Where we are at

HCA is finalizing discussions with Epic based on the revised scope of work. The Governor’s budget includes planning and implementation costs for Phase 1, and we are currently in the process of requesting planning funds from CMS.
