Small business resources for DSHS providers

If you are a DSHS-contracted provider who provides long-term care services to Medicaid clients, we want to hear from you! Please complete this brief survey to let us know what resources would assist you as a small business owner.

Monthly FAQ: The remittance advice has so many pages. Can you explain what each page means?
We understand it can seem overwhelming and sometimes confusing to try to go through all the information on each remittance advice (RA). When reviewing the RA, know that it is broken down into four sections:
- Section 1: Mailing information
- Section 2: Current RA messages
- Section 3: Payment summary
- Section 4: Payment information
To assist you with understanding the sections of the RA, we have created an appendix to the Claim Status Inquiry and Viewing Remittance Advice (RA) Billing Guide which explains each section of the RA and why they're important:
Understanding each section of the RA
Stay tuned for the March 2025 newsletter where we will take a closer look at the Payment Information section of the RA and will explain what you should look for in each of the paid, denied, and adjusted categories.
