Green Hill Internal Investigation Leads to Removal of Staff Accused of Misconduct

Olympia, WA – Green Hill School staff took swift action to remove a staff accused of misconduct following an internal investigation that has been referred to local law enforcement and child protective services.

Following a tip on March 11, Green Hill staff conducted an investigation into a staff accused of misconduct with a young person. The former Green Hill employee was immediately assigned to other duties. As of March 13, the individual is no longer a DCYF employee.

"The safety of young people in our care is our highest obligation and we remain committed to maintaining a culture at Green Hill focused on rehabilitation and no tolerance for misconduct," said Superintendent Harold Wright Jr.

While under investigation, staff are immediately placed on administrative leave or assigned to duties that do not involve interacting with young people. In cases where staff are on probation, the agency can take immediate action.
