To limit the emails you receive about projects in the foster care and child welfare space, DCYF put together all the updates in this monthly round up. 

D.S. Settlement 

The Semi-Annual D.S. Settlement Report for January - June 2025 is has been completed and posted to the DCYF website.

Foster Care WAC Updates

The internal review of draft WAC Chapter 148 is complete. The WAC Chapter is now with the Policy and Rules Office (PRO) to prepare for AAG review. Workgroups are meeting to discuss change management, the home study, forms, and more. Community members and caregivers will be able to review the WAC during the public comment period in Winter 2026.

Tribal Engagement sessions will be held this winter, with invitations sent by the Office of Tribal Relations to participants.
