I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity I had last night to stand before you to share insights into our wonderful city. I care deeply about Auburn and I'm proud to come to work every morning, evening and yes, many weekends, too, in service to our great residents.
Turn out for last night's State of the City address at the Muckleshoot Tribe Convention Center was the largest we’ve had for the annual address. I was so happy and humbled to see everyone so engaged in our community, committed to building a brighter future for us all.
A speech like this isn't easy to put together -- it takes a village of folks working behind the scenes to do everything from figuring out seating arrangements, catering, presentation, photos, videos, centerpieces, venue, and so much more. Thank you Team Auburn for the work you do each and every day. You're truly the backbone of this city.
By following the link below, you can read the full transcript of the speech and watch each of the four videos we put together. They touch on growth in the city and the planning involved. Safety, and how it's a citywide priority. Vibrancy, and the exciting additions that make Auburn spark. And home -- about you, your neighbors, and what makes Auburn Auburn.
