Honoring Service
Events are planned throughout the region over Memorial Day weekend to honor those who lost their lives while serving their country.
Here in Arlington, the John Lyon VFW Post 3150 will hold its annual wreath laying ceremony at the Clarendon War Memorial on May 26, at 11 a.m. While you’re there, you can also view Clarendon War Memorial markers commemorating the Arlingtonians killed in five war conflicts.
Arlington County’s Military and Veterans Advisory Committee (MVAC) is interested in hearing from members of the military, veterans, and their families who live and/or work in Arlington about types of programs, services, and resources that could be helpful.
Arlington County Government offices & services are operating on modified schedules on Memorial Day.
Fun in the Sun
Arlington's Spraygrounds open for the season on Saturday, May 24! Find one near you and remember to follow the rules and play safely.
Spraygrounds will operate from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Memorial Day Weekend. Regular hours will resume on Tues., May 27.
"All In" on Inclusivity
As part of WorldPride DC 2025, Arlington is shining a spotlight on its array of inclusive experiences, events and resources for both travelers and locals across the capital region.
You're invited to "Be the 'eye' in Pride" at an Artist Talk with Lisa Marie Thalhammer on June 3 at the Ellen M. Bozman Government Center Plaza.
