Celebrating Women
As Women's History month begins, Arlington is offering a series of events, promoting and honoring women:
On March 26, the Arlington County Commission on the Status of Women will also honor three women for their commitment and service in the Arlington community.
A Music Icon from Arlington
The world is remembering Grammy-Award-winning singer, Roberta Flack. Did you know that before performing on stages across the world, she honed her craft in her hometown of Arlington?

Federal Resources Event
Federal workers and contractors are invited to a resource fair on March 8 at Wakefield High School. The event will help attendees access vital resources, including unemployment assistance, mental health support, housing information, food aid, and information on federal workers rights.
Parking at Wakefield High School is extremely limited. Consider carpooling or using public transportation. A free shuttle will be circulating throughout the duration of the event between Ballston Metro (next to the Ballston-MU South Elevator at N. Fairfax Dr. and N. Stuart St.) and Wakefield High School.


Scoot Cute in Arlington
This month the Critical Crash Mitigation Campaign wants to make sure you are safely scooting around the County.
"Scoot cute" with four key safety tips:
1. Use a bike lane (when present)
2. Ride with one person per scooter
3. Park the scooter out of the way of sidewalks or ramps
4. Wear a helmet and avoid hanging items
