As the leaves fall, Arlington's leaf removal trucks are returning to service. But as you pull out the rakes, there are also some warnings to remember.

Order up. It's Restaurant week in Arlington and dozens of restaurants are opening their doors and their menus. 

Domestic Violence Proclamation

The Board marks Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention month with a dedication to ensure the safety of all members of our community. 

• The Arlington Department of Human Services is giving out $150,000 in grants to organizations that want to improve food security in Arlington. 
  
  
• The Board approved a $1M grant to help increase funding for early-stage technology companies and time is running out to apply. 
  
  
• Arlington is seeking community feedback on Long Bridge Drive to help us develop a new concept design for this key corridor.

• Take part in a Disparity Study to understand the effects of race, ethnicity or gender on a businesses’ ability to do business in Arlington County.

• Share your input on your experience the intersection of Wilson Blvd and N. Rhodes Street to help us develop a new concept design that makes it safer.
  
  
• Lacey Woods Park is getting a makeover. Share your feedback to help the County decide between two draft concepts. 
  
  
• Nonprofits applying for the RACE to Rebuilding Trust & Community NOFA are invited to join a Technical Assistance session on Wednesday, Oct. 25.

• With colder weather around the corner, Arlington County Police Department is conducting an essentials drive to benefit the unsheltered community.  
  
  
• Arlington County’s biennial design awards program, DESIGNArlington, is accepting submissions for great design in public or private projects.
   
• As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, celebrate with an arts and crafts pop-up fair for Hispanic-owned businesses. ¡Manos a la Obra! kicks off at 10AM on Wednesday Oct. 25. 
   
• Say "Boo to the Flu" and get a FREE flu shot on Sat. 10/21 at Drew Elementary School. Clinic is open from 10AM - 3PM, while supply lasts. 
   
• Do you suspect a case of fraud or embezzlement involving County funds? Take advantage of the County's confidential Financial Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline. 
  
  
• The Friends of the Arlington Public Library invite you to the 2023 Fall Book Sale on Oct. 26-29.
  
  
• Arlington Library is holding a Spooktacular Costume Swap on October 28. Drop off gently used costumes and discover a new one in time for Halloween.

The Museum of Contemperary Art Arlington is celebrating Dia de los Muertos with a free, evening picnic on Wednesday Nov. 1 (5pm - 8pm). Celebrate with family art projects, music, and food as the sun goes down.
