COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES ANNOUNCE COST-OF-LIVING ADJUSTMENT FOR PERFORMANCE OF MUSICAL COMPOSITIONS BY COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (76 FR 74703)

The Copyright Royalty Judges announce a cost-of-living adjustment of 3.5 percent in the royalty rates that colleges, universities, and other educational institutions not affiliated with National Public Radio pay for the use of published nondramatic musical compositions in the repertories of performance rights organizations ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. The adjustment, which takes effect January 1, 2012, is based on the change in the Consumer Prices Index from October 2010 to October 2011.
