CSMS # 67510839 - Transmission of Invalid Affirmation of Compliance Code “FTZ” for FDA

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reminds the import community that the Affirmation of Compliance (AofC) Code “FTZ” (FTZ Admission Number) is not a valid code for the FDA.

FDA uses the entry type and/or PG30 record to ascertain if a shipment is an FTZ withdrawal. Refer to FDA’s Supplemental Guide and FDA Affirmations of Compliance Codes for data requirements and AofC details respectively.

The AofC “FTZ” will be removed from ACE Appendix PGA in coordination with the ACE deployment scheduled for February 21, 2026 (refer to CSMS # 66836343). If AofC “FTZ” is transmitted after this deployment, the FDA data will be rejected. For questions about FDA rejects and valid codes for FDA, contact FDA ACE Support: ACE_Support@fda.hhs.gov.
