CSMS # 66685208 - Draft Cargo Release, GBI Enrollment, and Entry Summary Create/Update ACE CATAIR Updates Published on CBP.gov

U.S. Customs and Border Protection published the following CBP and Trade Automated Interface Requirements (CATAIR) updates with the following changes pertaining to the addition of the Altana ID Global Business Identifier (GBI) and the expansion of the GBI field character limit. CBP expects to deploy these changes to the Certification software testing environment on November 6, 2025.

Draft Cargo Release CATAIR

SE31 and SE51 records updated with the following changes:
- Update to GBI Identifier Length/Class and Position
- Update to Note 1 to include GBI Identifier Qualifier: ALTA and Description: Altana
Input Record Usage Map
- SE31 and SE51 Max Use updated from 3 to 4

Draft GBI Enrollment (GE_GX) CATAIR

GE20 record updated with the following changes:
- Update to GBI Identifier Length/Class and Position
- Update to Note 1 to include GBI Identifier Qualifier: ALTA and Description: Altana ·
Input Record Usage Map
- GE20 Max Use updated from 3 to 4

Draft Entry Summary Create/Update CATAIR (v109)

SE31 and SE51 records updated with the following changes:
- Increased the data element Length/Class and Position for the “Identifier” field
- Added new Qualifier and Description (ALTA/Atlanta) to be reported in the “GBI Identifier Qualifier” data element
- Update to Note 1 to include GBI Identifier Qualifier: “ALTA” and Description: “Altana” ·
ES Line Grouping Input Record Usage Map
- SE31 and SE51 Max Use updated from 3 to 4
