On September 25, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will deploy an enhancement in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Production (PROD) environment.
This enhancement will enable reporting of bonds amounts with up to 10 digits for the Importer/Bond Query. Following this deployment, bond amounts with 10 digits will be reported in the K2 output record, while bond amounts with 9 digits or less will continue to be reported in the K1 output record. Specific changes include:
- In the Output K1-Record, a new Bond Amount Record Location Indicator field will indicate whether the bond amount value will be populated on the K1 or K2 records.
- In the Output K2-Record, a new Bond Amount field will be populated when bond amounts are 10 digits.
- In the Output K8-Record, the Additional Information Qualifier Code will be mandatory.
