CSMS # 61616153 - UPDATE: DIS Enhancements for Vehicle Document Submission – Deployment Date TBD

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has delayed the deployment of enhancements to the Document Image System (DIS) that will facilitate vehicle-related document submission for exports via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Following this deployment, CBP will send new messaging if both the Document Code: “CBP09” and the Transaction Type: “ITN” (Internal Transaction Number) are provided.

The scheduled deployment date of August 22, 2024, is postponed. The new deployment date for these enhancements is to be determined. When the new Certification and Production deployment dates are available, additional messaging will be provided. In addition, any associated documents available on cbp.gov will be updated, as necessary.
