CSMS # 56556424 - May 2023 Q&As of EPA Import Programs – Response to Questions from the October 31, 2022 EPA Refresher Import Webinar
The purpose of this message is to announce the availability of the “May 2023 Q&As of EPA’s Import Programs.” On October 31, 2022, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hosted a free webinar for the National Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association of America (NCBFFA). The webinar provided NCBFAA members an overview of EPA import programs under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), and the Clean Air Act (CAA), and their filing requirements for entries in the U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE).
The document solely answers raised during the October 31, 2022 webinar and the specific unique circumstances raised during that webinar. Nothing in the responses is meant to replace or revise applicable CBP or EPA guidance, regulatory provisions, the Code of Federal Regulations, the Federal Register, or statute. The EPA reserves the right to act at variance with the document, including changing any policy or guidance referenced within at any time without public notice. The document does not constitute new policy or guidance from the EPA, nor should regulated individuals expect the document to be updated to reflect any future changes in applicable law or Agency policies.
