CSMS # 53345177 - Deadline extension: CBP Form 1302A Cargo Declaration – Outbound with Commercial Form will no longer be accepted in Document Image System (DIS)
Update to CSMS 52338815 and 52977471
Due to increased requests to submit Electronic Export Manifest (EEM) by the Vessel Operators (VO), Non-Vessel Operators (NVOs) and software vendors communities. CBP has made the decision to extend the deadline 6 months from the previous October 1, 2022, to April 1, 2023.
This extension is intended to provide additional time for effected trade participants to adequately program and test with their assigned CBP Client Representatives. Trade participants currently programming, and testing should work towards transitioning over to submitting 100% EEM prior to the new April 1, 2023, date. Submitting the CBP Form 1302A will no longer be required in paper or to DIS once the carrier(s) are submitting 100% EEM.
