CSMS #42970148 - The US Fish and Wildlife Service Implementation Guide has been Updated

The US Fish and Wildlife Service implementation Guide has been updated. Changes include:

• New guidance on Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements relating to the allowance of LPCO Number options "UNKNOWN" and "VARIOUS", in place of the FWS eDec confirmation number, explained under Section 5.
• Removal of "XX = country of origin is unknown" option from the Country Code Data Element.
• Clarification on where to enter the PG22 Record Identifier (Declaration Certification).
• Appendix 1 FWS Authorized Ports section has been deconsolidated to align with current Service Regulations under 50 CFR 14.
• The following updates have also been made. They are expected in Certification on June 19 and expected in Production on June 27, 2020:
  • Addition of the Entity Role Code element to the PG22 Record
  • Added "FWI" as a mandatory Entity in PG21 Record

Please refer to the document history section for other minor updates. All updates from previous versions of the FWS IG are now available in Production.

NOTE: The PGA Message Set document will also be updated to remove XX as a valid code in the PG06 record for Country Code for FWS.
