CSMS #39894153 - REMINDER: Section 321: Entry Type 86 Deployment Date Set for September 28, 2019
On September 28, 2019, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will deploy the new Entry Type 86 for entry of Section 321 low-valued shipments through ACE. This new entry type will improve import safety and security by providing greater visibility into low value shipments. Please note that this new entry type is a test and is not mandatory for users. - Using Entry type 86 to obtain release of low-valued Section 321 shipments is only a test. It is not mandatory.
- All current Section 321 clearance processes remain in effect.
- A Test Notice was published in the Federal Register on August 13, 2019.
CBP will also host support calls to address any questions or concerns from the trade regarding Section 321: Entry Type 86. The calls will be held from 2:00 PM ET to 3:00 PM ET daily starting September 26th.

- Monday, Sept. 30 – Tuesday, Oct. 1
