Commercial Trade operations at the Port of Wilmington, N.C. will be temporarily suspended on Thursday, September 5, 2019 and Friday September 6, 2019 due to the anticipated effects related to Hurricane Dorian. The Port Office will be closed both Thursday and Friday. Commercial Trade Operations will resume normal operations on Saturday, September 7, 2019. On September 5 and September 6, 2019 local closure days are granted to all who file entries at the Port of Wilmington, N.C. (1501). CBP is extending the two days without penalty, for any entry summaries and payments of duties that were due on September 5 and September 6, 2019 in the Port of Wilmington, N.C. The Port of Wilmington is expected to resume normal operations on Monday September 9, 2019 depending on post-storm damage assessments, stakeholder resumption capacity and port employee availability. Port management will continue to monitor the situation and advise on resumption of operations.
