Transition to Organic Partnership Program Seeks Input to Connect Organic Producers with Buyers
Buyers interested in supporting the organic market can find it hard to find new organic and in-transition producers and suppliers. Improved online resources are needed to support organic marketplace growth. To help connect organic producers with buyers across the United States, the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) has partnered with the Organic Trade Association (OTA) and Rodale Institute as part of the Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP).
Have you faced challenges with sourcing from organic and in-transition suppliers? If so, we want to hear from you. Your input will inform decision-making for improved online tools. Respondents can also opt-in for updates on buyer activities, including in-person and virtual matching events facilitated by OTA and Rodale Institute.
Future planned activities include buyer tours of regional areas to provide a forum for networking and interaction, and listing participants in online clearinghouses and databases that allow for targeted searching.
We appreciate your feedback by May 31, 2024.
