Nominations for Destination Lincolnshire’s tourism awards close on Wednesday 3 August. The awards are an opportunity for businesses to gain recognition across Greater Lincolnshire. There are 15 categories ranging from Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award to New Tourism Business Award.
Heart of Lincs is sponsoring the pub of the year award and want to recognise pubs that make a significant contribution to tourism in their local area. The awards include fifteen categories ranging from resilience and innovation to ethical, responsible and sustainable tourism.

A vital support scheme offering Government-backed loans to small businesses will be extended for a further two years, Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has announced last week (Wednesday 20 July).
The Recovery Loan Scheme, originally launched in April 2021 to help businesses recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, has supported almost 19,000 businesses.
The Recovery Loan Scheme is a government scheme aimed at supporting access to finance for UK businesses. It gives lenders a government-backed guarantee against the outstanding balance of the facility. Further details will follow when the scheme goes live.

There’s a specific Community Business category which champions businesses that give freely of their time, effort, materials and resources in support of community endeavour or which operate in a charitable or community-focused way and achieve social value that goes beyond the bottom-line.
