The Recovery Loan Scheme has been extended for a further two years

A vital support scheme offering Government-backed loans to small businesses will be extended for a further two years, Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng has announced last week (Wednesday 20 July).

The Recovery Loan Scheme, originally launched in April 2021 to help businesses recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic, has supported almost 19,000 businesses.

The Recovery Loan Scheme is a government scheme aimed at supporting access to finance for UK businesses. It gives lenders a government-backed guarantee against the outstanding balance of the facility. Further details will follow when the scheme goes live.

NK Community Champion Awards 2022

North Kesteven District Council runs its own awards programme – the NK Community Champion Awards – that celebrates voluntary community-minded contributions that make a real difference in the lives of individuals, groups and entire communities.

There’s a specific Community Business category which champions businesses that give freely of their time, effort, materials and resources in support of community endeavour or which operate in a charitable or community-focused way and achieve social value that goes beyond the bottom-line.

If you run or know of a business that you think should be nominated for a ‘thank you’, please put in a nomination at www.nkawards.org before September 9.

Heckington show

This weekend you can visit the North Kesteven District Council marquee at Heckington Show where we'll be joined by the Heart of Lincs team,  Mrs Smith's Cottage and Cogglesford Watermill.

Heckington Show is a quintessentially British summer experience, over the course of the weekend you can expect cycling, showjumping, athletics and much more.
