Chancellor announces £1 billion in support for businesses most impacted by Omicron across the UK

At 1pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 December 2021) the Chancellor announced a further £1 billion in business support grants to be administered by Local Authorities.

The package of support includes a new grant scheme for businesses in hospitality and leisure, a top up to the Additional Restrictions Grant, the reintroduction of the Statutory Sick Pay Rebate Scheme and further funding released through the Culture Recovery Fund.

At present we have no official guidance from Government on which businesses will be eligible and the specific amounts that businesses will be entitled to. Upon receiving this information from Government we will aim to update businesses as soon as possible and deliver any funding as swiftly as we can upon receiving our allocation.

ARG Adapt & Revive Programme Update

The Adapt & Revive scheme has now closed, this is to allow the grants team to assess the current applications and review remaining ARG funds.

We are delighted to say that we have so far, supported 15 businesses within North Kesteven through this programme and made awards totalling £223,097.

If you applied for this programme then your application will still be going through our validation process and we will be in touch in due course to update you on whether you have been successful or not and if we require any further additional information.

Please note that the Grants Team are on annual leave over the Christmas period from 24 December 2021 until 4 January 2022, we will look to update businesses as soon as we can upon our return.
