The festive fun has already started, with the Christmas markets in the Market Place and Millstream Square happening today as well as the Christmas Light switch-on at 4pm in the Market Place.

There’s also Sleaford Town Council’s ’12 Market Days of Christmas’, with music and street performers adding to the atmosphere, a packed programme of creativity at the Hub, special events and activities arranged by enthusiastic traders and loads more besides.
Bringing all this together to showcase an Eventful Sleaford at Christmas, the District Council is making good use of the Government’s Welcome Back Fund; helping to promote the many exciting events taking place and delivering a safe and welcoming environment for businesses, customers and visitors to enjoy.

The Government’s plan for delivering and sequencing major rail investment to transform services in the North and Midlands has been announced.
The Integrated Rail Plan is a £96 billion programme which will transform rail services in the North and the Midlands, the largest single rail investment ever made by a UK government. Further information is available here.
