Going Green: How can you make a difference?

To help tourism businesses in the Greater Lincolnshire Area ‘green’ operations, Lincolnshire County Council has commissioned Considerate Group to develop a Green Tourism Toolkit. This new, user-friendly resource, being launched early 2022, will help tourism businesses attract more customers, retain the best staff, reduce operational costs, reduce impacts on the environment, promote wellbeing and inclusivity, and help you and your local area thrive.

To ensure the toolkit is created to meet the needs of businesses, Considerate Group want your input and insights; you are being asked to complete a predominantly multiple-choice, approximately 30-minute survey.

Your input will ensure the Green Tourism Toolkit is fit-for-purpose. In addition, as a thank you for completing the survey, you will receive a FREE personalised summary report, detailing your business's current sustainability performance and guiding you towards areas for improvement. The report is worth £1,050.

The survey needs completing by 17 November 2021. There are two options for completing the survey:

  • Option 1: If you have enough time to complete the survey in one sitting, please follow this all-user link here. If you select this option, please remember to stay on the webpage and complete the survey in full to ensure your entries are not lost.
  • Option 2: If you would like to complete the survey across multiple sittings (i.e. be able to leave and return to the survey at leisure), please email ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk ASAP to request a personalised survey link. The personalised link will save your progress, allowing you to complete the survey at your own pace.

The survey is open to all tourism businesses and their supply chain, we are in the process of emailing a link to all businesses however if you haven’t received an email please contact ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk

Countdown to Small Business Saturday 2021

SBS

Small Business Saturday returns on 4 December; the national campaign highlights the importance of SMEs to the local economy. We want to encourage as many small businesses as possible to get involved.

Last year a number of retailers offered a special discount for the day to encourage people to shop and support local businesses. We, in turn, promoted the offers and retailers via our social media channels.

This year we are doing a countdown throughout November, giving a shout out to a different business every day leading up to Small Business Saturday.

If you would like to be part of the countdown on our Business NK channels, please email ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk with your business name, a photo of your business and your social media handles so we can tag you in the post.
