Earlier this week we installed a range of assets along a number of high streets in North Kesteven to promote them as wonderful and safe - places for shopping and more.
These were put in place using a share of the Government’s Welcome Back fund made available to support Councils for measures that deliver a safe environment for businesses and customers in the wake of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
The assets have been designed in such a way, including specially commissioned local photography featuring businesses for each, to celebrate the character and unique offer of each place.
We also have refreshed bunting to share with businesses, to replace the existing Covid-safe materials we provided earlier in the year. If you wish to receive the new bunting please contact ecodev@n-kesteven.gov.uk with your business name and address.
Whether through self-nomination or encouraging expressions of enthusiasm from customers, we’d love to hear more about your community-minded businesses activities.
The NK Community Champion Awards programme has a specific category to champion community-minded businesses and this year a new category is looking to tease out and celebrate those businesses which are making a Contribution to Climate Action.
Take a look at the full list of 12 categories at www.NKawards.org where you can nominate too, please note the deadline for nominations is Monday 6 September.
The awards are only made possible through the generous support of other community-focused businesses committed to serving the community of North Kesteven and making a positive difference.
In all cases the NK Community Champion Awards are looking to honour selfless, tireless voluntary endeavour which goes above and beyond paid-for remunerated work; which is carried out in the interests of promoting a better, safer, more fulfilling and flourishing place to live or encouraging individuals or groups to fulfil their potential. In the case of businesses they look to champion that extra factor of going-beyond, being community-minded and doing more than is necessary for commercial success.
