Financial support for businesses

The Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) (Required to Close) is open for applications

ARG

The Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) (RtC) is available for businesses that remain closed from the 16 February 2021 which have fixed property costs or work from home but are not on the rating list.

If you successfully applied for the ARG (RtC) in either the November or January lockdowns, a flat rate grant will automatically be awarded of £2,620. This will cover businesses for a 55 day period between 16 February 2021 and 11 April 2021. You will not need to reapply to this scheme if you have already received payments under the ARG (RtC).

Applications will close on Friday 19 March 2021 and Grant payments will be made from Thursday 11 March 2021.

Local Restriction Support Grant (Closed) Addendum

The LRSG (Closed) Addendum will be a 44 day payment up until the 31 March 2021. This payment will be made automatically to businesses that were successful for the previous LRSG CA schemes. Payments have been made today (5 March 2021).

For information the LRSG (Closed) Addendum is to support businesses who are on the ratings list which have been forced to close during the national lockdown in November and the current lockdown. Businesses that have already applied to this grant are not required to apply again.

If you feel that you are eligible, have read the original policy here and have not been in receipt of a grant please email grants@n-kesteven.gov.uk providing your business name, nature of business and rates number. Should you be successful following the application process you will then automatically receive the LRSG Closed Addendum and the Closed Businesses Lockdown Payment (CBLP).


Be ‘Business Smart’ Masterclass

North East Lincolnshire Council is leading on a programme called Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire. The programme has received a 6 month extension to continue helping to support small to medium businesses to reduce costs and carbon emissions.

Support available:

  • 38% grant funding to help you invest in energy saving measures e.g. LED lighting, solar PV (currently all applications are being considered on a case by case basis, due to limited funding available)
  • A free energy saving report with recommendations
  • one to one technical expertise with our world leading partners
  • An energy saving masterclass, which includes £500 funding to go towards an energy saving product

Rural Business Grant

Lincolnshire County Council is launching a Rural Business Grant, to support existing rural businesses to purchase capital equipment that will help them respond to the challenging trading environment caused by COVID-19.

There will be a two stage application process with the Expression of Interest window open to applicants between 9am on 8 March 2021 and 6pm on 17 March 2021. The application window may close early, if they receive grant requests exceeding the amount of grant funding available.

Businesses can apply for between £3,000 and up to £25,000 grant towards a maximum of 75% of the total project cost. Projects must be completed within 90 days of the award of funding.

Lincolnshire County Council’s Business Recovery Fund extended

Lincolnshire County Council has developed the Business Recovery Fund to support businesses directly impacted by Covid and unable to fully trade. They must have not benefited from other Government Covid support schemes.

Applications for the second round of funding opened on the 4 March 2021 and close tomorrow at noon (6 March 2021).

The second round of funding is open to any business that can evidence it has made a loss in the 2020 calendar year. For more information please visit the Lincolnshire County Council website.


Chancellor announces business support in 2021 Budget

Measures announced by Chancellor Rishi Sunak in the Budget on Wednesday (3 March 2021) can be found here.

Following the announcement we are still awaiting funding post 1 April so in the meantime please keep monitoring our website which we will update as and when we have information.
