Small and micro businesses given a boost thanks to £1m grant fund
Following the Government’s announcement of a new top up grant to support those affected by Covid-19, the District Council received £1,035,000 to help businesses in NK to continue trading in line with government guidance, when safe to do so.
The discretionary grant fund is now closed and all businesses have been contacted regarding the outcome of their application.
In total 127 businesses will benefit from the grants. The fund has supported small and micro businesses that were not eligible for support under the government's initial package of help.
The District Council has safeguarded a total of 684 jobs through the discretionary funding, and supported businesses to continue trading in accordance to government guidelines.
