East Devon culture organisations and creatives will feature on a dedicated new website to encourage collaboration across culture sectors and local areas.
The new ACED website will champion the work of East Devon-based culture and heritage organisations, performers, musicians, artists and creatives, helping them to collaborate and providing vital support through training and funding opportunities.
In line with East Devon's Cultural Strategy to strengthen, promote and grow arts and culture in East Devon, the website will provide much-needed resources, giving creatives everything they need to support and grow their practice or organisation.
Broadclyst Neighbourhood Plan one step closer to being formally made

The plan, which was more than five years in the making, will be considered by East Devon District Council’s (EDDC) Cabinet on 12 July 2023 to determine if it can be formally ‘made’.
School Recycling Visits A Success

Schools can now apply for a visit for the new school year starting in September.

It's Rural Housing Week
|
This annual campaign highlights the importance of housing associations for those living in rural areas. This year’s theme is ‘building a better future for rural communities.’ East Devon District Council is working with housing associations to deliver housing projects which tackle the shortage of affordable and low cost homes. In 2022/23, 114 affordable homes were completed across East Devon. #RuralHousingWeek
The week is led by the National Housing Federation.

Sidmouth Toilets Temporary Closure
From Monday 17th July the public toilets in Sidmouth will be closed from from 9.15pm every evening. This closure is due to staffing issues and it is deemed safer to close the toilets early, rather than leave them unlocked overnight. We hope this change is temporary and will update our signage accordingly.

Do you know which plastics you can recycle?
Please recycle as many plastics pots, trays, tubs and bottles as you can in your green recycling sack.
There is high demand from British manufactures for recycled polymers to build our circular economy.
Please note we are unable to recycle ‘film’ products such as: bread bags, bubble wrap, carrier bags, polythene, which contaminate the other plastic materials.
For more information relating to recycling and disposals, please visit our website page.
Thank you for recycling. Your recycling benefits our environment and our economy.
