Exeter’s Corporate Plan consultation - make sure your voice is heard

There’s still time to share your views on the final draft of Exeter’s new Corporate Plan 2025-2028. 

This important document sets out what the Council wants to achieve in the years ahead and how it will deliver its vision for a happy, healthy and fully engaged city in the future. 

It will replace the existing Corporate Plan published in 2022. 

The new plan identifies priorities for the future and sets out how they will be delivered by the Council and its partners. 

The Corporate Plan 2025-2028 was developed following extensive consultation with residents. Following feedback, four key priorities were established - local economy, homes, people and sustainable environment.

Communications during the pre-election period

Through all of our communication channels, we like to keep our residents and communities informed about what’s going on in Exeter.

With a local Election scheduled for Thursday 1 May 2025, we have now entered the pre-election period and we are scaling back our communications in line with the Local Government Association (LGA) pre-election guidance.

This means during this time, we will ensure that our communications do not offer undue influence or advantage to any party or candidate, in line with the Local Government Association (LGA) pre-election guidance: Pre-election period | Local Government Association

As highlighted in our social media house rules: Social media - Exeter City Council we ask you not to post any comments on our page which promote party political messages or election candidates or parties during the pre-election period.

We will continue to keep you updated with what’s going on in Exeter and information on the elections on Thursday 1 May.

Exeter Comedy Festival 2025 Line-up Announced

Exeter Corn Exchange is proud to support Locally Sourced in presenting the 2025 Exeter Comedy Festival. Taking place from 5–8 June, the festival brings leading and emerging comedy talent to intimate venues across Exeter’s West Quarter.

Audiences can enjoy everything from work-in-progress sets to fully-fledged performances, all within walking distance of the city centre. Acts include Reginald D Hunter, Bridget Christie, Josie Long, and Mark Watson, among many more.

A 5-show ticket bundle is available for £35 plus a £5 booking fee. This can be purchased as a voucher through ‘ECF – 5 shows for £40’. Audience members can then select their preferred shows. Two attendees should buy two vouchers.

Tickets are available online, by calling the box office on 01392 665938, or by visiting Exeter Tickets at 89 Fore Street. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 10am–4pm (excluding bank holidays).

From stand-up and sketch shows to kids’ comedy and interactive gigs, the festival celebrates comedy in all its forms.
