Donations collected from the Salvation Army in Exeter
Christmas presents donated to children in temporary accommodation Children living in temporary accommodation in Exeter this Christmas are set to enjoy a big bag of presents thanks to the generosity of the Salvation Army and its volunteers.
The annual Christmas toy appeal asked residents to donate or buy new toys for children during the festive period – and the response was overwhelming.
Around 50 bags were collected by the City Council’s Housing team from the Salvation Army’s base at Friars Gate for distribution to families living in temporary accommodation over Christmas.
Volunteers at the Salvation Army have also provided Christmas meals for anyone in need in the city and also distributed Christmas cards made by Exeter schoolchildren to those who may not otherwise receive any. READ MORE >>>
