The next phase of the Department of Health and Social Care’s national adult social care recruitment campaign is coming
The new campaign, ‘Make care your career’ will launch on 3 February to drive increased interest in care roles and support recruitment efforts across the adult social care sector. Designed to inspire individuals with the right values to consider a career in care, the campaign will showcase the diverse and flexible roles available and highlight that you don’t need formal qualifications to apply.
The campaign will feature across TV, radio, social media and digital advertising, and will be seen by millions of people over the coming weeks. Jobseekers will be signposted to the campaign website where they can find out more about working in care and search for vacancies in their local area using DWP ‘Find a Job’.
There are several ways care providers can make the most of the campaign:

Post your vacancies on the DWP ‘Find a Job’ platform: it’s quick and easy to do and will make sure jobseekers who’ve seen the advertising can find your roles.

Coordinate local recruitment activities: align your efforts with the campaign to capitalise on the increased awareness and interest it generates.

Use the free, new campaign resources: use these assets to help attract high-quality candidates to your roles.

Help Improve Mental Health Services for Black Men!
We invite you to contribute your expertise to an important research project aimed at improving mental health services for Black men. Commissioned by the Care Quality Commission, this study seeks to improve access, experience, and outcomes for Black men within mental health services. University College London (UCL) is conducting this qualitative research through interviews to gather valuable insights that will help guide improvements.
We are recruiting 25 participants from key stakeholder groups, including:
- Experts
- Advocacy and charity groups
- Black men who use mental health services
- Carers and families
- Mental health service providers
We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals working in mental health services, such as those in community groups, early intervention, or psychiatric wards, to participate in a 30-minute online interview between February and March 2025.

Our Independent Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews — Making a difference

If you are an NHS or independent service provider who is registered with us for the regulatory activity of treatment of disease, disorder or injury and are offering or planning on offering prescribing of cannabis-based medicinal products (medical cannabis) to people, you must ensure your Statement of Purpose is updated to reflect this activity.
All registered providers must have an accurate, up-to-date statement of purpose and must notify CQC of any changes within 28 days of the change.
