A reminder that the Minister for Care Gillian Keegan has written to care providers about new guidance now in effect, as of 4 April 2022:
In his new blog, Chris Day, Director of Engagement at CQC talks about the approaches we are taking to implement our new strategy and transform how we’ll regulate.
To get this work right we need to develop our new ways of working in collaboration with you, and other people who work in health and social care, the public and other stakeholders. We’re doing this through co-production webinars, focus groups, stakeholder reference groups, user research and our digital engagement platform CitizenLab.
Have your say on CQC's future regulatory model
If you haven’t joined a recent webinar or had time to get up to speed with the development of our new regulatory model you can watch Dave James, Head of Policy for Adult Social Care take you through our current thinking. Please share your thoughts with us by answering four brief questions on Citizen Lab, it is free and easy to sign up.
Survey on Local Authority assurance
We are expecting new responsibilities related to Local Authority assurance through the Health and Care Bill from April 2023. We need your feedback on what you think we should consider when we gather evidence and data on local authorities, how we can connect with local people to inform our evidence and what are the key pieces of evidence we should be collecting.
Kate Terroni, Chief Inspector of Adult Social Care was joined by Deputy Chief Inspector Rob Assall and Dave James, Head of Adult Social Care Policy on CQC's recent webinar about inspection priorities, our focus of work and new regulatory model.
See part one and part two on our YouTube channel, which includes a Q&A with our inspection team answering attendees top questions live.
