Looking back on 2024!
We wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the incredible achievements from our fostering and adoption service in 2024:
-
approved new foster carers and adoptive parents who will provide loving, stable homes to children who can’t live with their own families
-
continue to support our wonderful fostering families and adoptive families
-
have our service rated ‘very good’ by the Care Inspectorate after an inspection in February
-
held a delicious bake sale in May, where we raised funds for a local charity
-
celebrated our incredible kinship carers, foster carers and adoptive parents with a fun day at Monikie Country Park in July
-
was great to get out and about with our info stand to spread the word about the vital need for foster carers and adopters.
We are proud of these accomplishments but… the need for foster carers and adoptive parents in Angus is still urgent! There are children who need a safe, supportive people to open their hearts and their homes for them.
