Volunteers Needed

Applications are now open for the next Victim Services Volunteer Academy!
The Victim Services unit relies heavily on its volunteers. These volunteers go out into the community when a crisis hits, comforting those who have fallen victim or are experiencing distress and may need assistance or someone to lean on. You'll not only be helping those in Waco, but the entire county.

If you have a passion to help people, apply today to become a Victim Services Volunteer!

The next academy is April 7th through April 16th, and classes are held from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Waco Police Department.

Read to a Dog!

Bring your little ones to the Read to a Dog Event at East Library on March 19th from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This heartwarming event gives kids the chance to read aloud to a furry friend, helping boost confidence and improve their reading skills in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. The dogs  from Pet Circle are the perfect listeners, ready to sit, snuggle, and enjoy a good story!

Save the Date: Fire Station #15 Grand Opening

The Waco Fire Department invites you to the grand opening of the Fire Station #15. Join us for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 20 at 10905 Panther Way (near the Ritchie Road water tower). Enjoy refreshments, a fire engine push-in ceremony, and a special appearance by Sparky the Fire Dog as we celebrate this exciting event.

Household Hazardous Waste Day

Join the City of Waco on Saturday, March 22nd, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 501 Schroeder Drive to get rid of your household hazardous waste!Each year the City of Waco hosts the annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day to provide residents with a FREE service for disposal of items considered potentially hazardous. This event is for all residents that live within the city limits of Bellmead, Hewitt, Lacy Lakeview, Waco, or Woodway.
