Completed Studies 2023-2024 Updates

Did you know?

The Completed Studies reports, created and managed by the Educator Data, Research and Strategy Division at the Texas Education Agency, have been updated to include newly available data from the 2023-2024 school year. These studies, which can be found on the Educator Reports and Data page, cover a range of topics related to teacher and administrator certification and preparation data. This update spans 4 reports, including:

  • Newly Certified Teacher Demographics by Preparation Route (Updated November 2024): displays the number and percentages of candidates who received initial standard teaching certificates through each preparation route in the last five academic years aggregated by gender and race/ethnicity.
  • Newly Certified Teacher Age by Preparation Route (Updated November 2024): displays the age of initial standard certified teachers by preparation route.
  • Newly Certified Superintendent Demographics by Preparation Route (Updated November 2024): displays the number and percentage of candidates who received a standard superintendent certification through a Texas EPP or who were issued a certification based on prior certification in a state other than Texas, aggregated by preparation route, gender, and race/ethnicity.
  • Newly Certified Principal Demographics by Preparation Route (Updated November 2024): displays the number and percentage of candidates who received a standard principal certification through a Texas EPP or who were issued a certification based on prior certification in a state other than Texas, aggregated by preparation route, gender, and race/ethnicity.
