Educator Production Dashboard Updates
Did you know?
The Educator Production dashboards that are maintained by the Educator Data, Research and Strategy team have now been updated to reflect the numbers of educators who were issued a standard certificate during the 2023-2024 academic year (please see our Certification page for more details). These data include a person-level dashboard as well as a certificate-level dashboard.
The person-level dashboard is best suited to answer questions such as

How many teachers were certified through a particular EPP? In the 2023-2024 academic year, there was a total of 17,752 newly certified teachers in the state of Texas.

What percentage of the newly certified counselors identify as a specific race/ethnicity? In the 2023-2024 academic year, 15% of newly certified counselors identified as Black/African American.

How many teachers were certified through an alternative certification route? In the 2023-2024 academic year, 7,845 teachers were certified through an alternative certification route.
The certificate-level dashboard is best suited to answer questions such as

How many teachers were certified to teach a particular subject? In the 2023-2024 academic year, 1,787 teachers were certified to teach in science.

How many new certificates were earned via cert by exam? In the 2023-2024 academic year, 17,967 new certificates were earned via cert by exam.

How many new teachers were certified for a certain grade level? In the 2023-2024 academic year, 7,804 teachers were certified for grade levels EC-6.
