The Employment of Initially Certified Teachers report, maintained by the Educator Data, Research, and Strategy team at Texas Education Agency displays data on the number of teacher candidates who obtained initial standard teaching certificates through each preparation route. This report contains data up to and including the 2023-2024 academic year.

This report is best suited to answer questions such as:

• How many individuals received an initial standard teaching certificate through an Undergraduate preparation route in 2022-2023? 6,123 individuals received their initial standard teaching certificate through this preparation route.
• How many of these individuals began employment as a teacher in a Texas Public School in 2023-2024? 4,987 of these individuals, or 81.5%, began teaching in a Texas Public School in 2023-2024.
