RECURRING EVENTS
City Employee Veteran Spotlight: Jason Pittman
City Department
“I work in Code Compliance with the Building Standards Division as the demolition and asbestos Senior Officer. I oversee demolitions of hazardous structures, enhancing safety in communities. I have been with the City of Fort Worth for 18+ years transitioning within departments, now back in Code Compliance.”
Military Service
United States Marine Corps, 2003-2007
Military Occupational Specialties
"Military Police experience and construction background aid in communication and collaboration with citizens, colleagues, and city contractors, but coordinating demolitions can be challenging."
Advice for Other Veterans
"My advice for veterans and spouses: Learn, connect, explore VA benefits like multiple loans to achieve your goals confidently. This can help get you where you want to be today or build up and get there down the road. You sometimes have to just take the risk and go for it."
