New, free, digital hub connects Dallas artists, arts organizations, audiences, and opportunities in one centralized platform
DALLAS – October 5, 2026 – TACA and the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) today are pleased to announce the launch of Culturalyst Dallas, a new digital hub designed to make it easier to discover and engage with Dallas’ arts and culture community. The free platform brings local artists, arts organizations, events, opportunities, and resources together in one centralized place.
Culturalyst Dallas serves both those creating culture and those looking to experience it. Residents and visitors can discover local artists and art organizations, find performances, exhibitions and other events, and explore more of the city’s cultural community. Artists and organizations can create free profiles, promote their work and programs, share events and opportunities, find professional resources, and connect with others across the arts community.
“Culturalyst Dallas gives our arts community a shared resource that makes it easier for artists and organizations to find opportunities, share their work, and connect with audiences,” said Maura Sheffler, Executive Director of TACA. “We are proud to bring this resource to Dallas in partnership with the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and create another way to support a vibrant and resilient arts community.”
TACA will lead Culturalyst management and community engagement in partnership with the OAC. TACA and the OAC identified Culturalyst after conversations about resources and calendars with other arts service providers, along with input from artists, organizations, and media partners. Those insights highlighted the many benefits of the Culturalyst platform and its clear value to the Dallas arts community.
“We are thrilled to make this innovative platform available to ensure we connect local and international audiences to our vibrant arts and culture scene,” said Martine Elyse Philippe, Director of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
A central feature of Culturalyst Dallas is a comprehensive community events calendar designed to make it easier to find arts and cultural experiences across the city. The calendar can also be embedded directly into the websites of media outlets, arts organizations, venues, and other community partners, allowing Culturalyst event information to reach audiences across multiple platforms while providing a shared resource for promoting Dallas arts and culture.
Beyond the calendar, Culturalyst Dallas offers:
-
Searchable directories featuring robust self-managed profiles for Dallas artists and arts organizations
-
Listings for grants, auditions, jobs, professional development and other opportunities
-
Customized emails connecting artists with relevant opportunities locally, statewide, and nationally
-
Tools for artists and organizations to share work, programs, events, and opportunities
“For an organization like Teatro Dallas, we’ve been waiting for a resource like this for years,“ said Mac Welch, Artistic Producer for Teatro Dallas. “Culturalyst gives us one place to share our work, highlight the artists behind it, and introduce new audiences to what we do, while also making it easier to discover and connect with other artists and organizations across the city. It creates more opportunities for collaboration and gives people a better sense of just how much is happening across Dallas’ arts community.”
“We’re proud to bring Culturalyst to Dallas in partnership with the Office of Arts and Culture, KERA, the AT&T Performing Arts Center and the Dallas Arts District,” said Anne Kogan, Director of Programs for TACA. “Each of these organizations brings valuable experience connecting Dallas audiences with arts and culture. By working together through Culturalyst, we can make it easier for artists and organizations to share what’s happening across the city, while giving the community a more connected way to discover and engage with Dallas arts and culture.”
Dallas is the newest and largest community to join Culturalyst, which is already active in communities across the country. Culturalyst is designed as shared infrastructure that can grow alongside the communities it serves, while enabling resources and discovery to be shared across all communities on the Culturalyst network. Future Culturalyst Dallas tools are expected to include directories for cultural resources and venues, an interactive map of public art and other cultural assets, additional tools for artists to manage their work and portfolios, and features that help patrons follow and engage with local artists and events.
Artists and organizations are encouraged to create profiles and begin adding their work, events, and opportunities to Culturalyst Dallas. Community members and visitors can use the platform to discover artists and organizations, explore upcoming events and find new ways to engage with Dallas’ arts community.
TACA is the only nonprofit that provides both funding and training to Dallas arts organizations. For nearly 60 years, TACA has been dedicated to making the North Texas arts community one of the strongest in the nation. We invest in over 60 arts organizations of all shapes and sizes to support an arts community brimming with cultures and stories—one that cares about the health and well-being of Dallas citizens and is building a sustainable future for our creative community, ensuring North Texas remains a vibrant place to live, work, and play.
The Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) is a City of Dallas department that works to enhance the city's vibrancy and enriches the lives of Dallas residents and visitors by fostering an environment where artists and cultural organizations flourish; people of all ages engage in creative expression; and the city's rich artistic traditions are celebrated. The OAC does this by supporting artists, arts organizations and Dallas residents through grants, partnerships and other critical resources. The OAC is also the custodian of its city-owned cultural facilities, where a wide variety of arts and cultural programs are offered for residents and visitors. These facilities consist of many of our community's most important cultural venues, and when combined, represent more than 1.5 million square feet of space dedicated to arts and cultural functions in our community. The OAC also oversees a 300 plus-work citywide public art collection.
