Dallas Fire-Rescue and VNA Team Up with Community Partners to Deliver Meals to Hundreds of Homebound Seniors for Day of Caring

Dallas Fire-Rescue and the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) along with dozens of volunteers from Dallas Police Department, and local corporate partners will join forces to deliver hundreds of hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors across the city of Dallas for Day of Caring on March 18. For many VNA Meals on Wheels clients, these deliveries provide more than just sustenance; they offer a vital “wellness check” and a moment of human connection. Members of Dallas Fire-Rescue, DPD, and dozens of volunteers will meet at the VNA Haggerty Kitchen and will distribute meals and visit with seniors on their route. Media are invited to attend.
