🌟 FREE Citizenship Help, March 28 🌟
Your vote. Your U.S. passport. The chance to finally bring your family home. That future is closer than you think — and on Saturday, March 28, we want to help you get there.
The International Rescue Committee and Catholic Charities of Dallas are hosting a free citizenship workshop at Dallas College Mountain View, with the support of the City of Dallas. See BILINGUAL FLYER.
No appointment. No fees. You'll sit down one-on-one with a bilingual attorney or trained volunteer, and by the time you leave, your N-400 application will be reviewed and ready to mail to USCIS. RAICES will also be there with a Know Your Rights session open to everyone who attends.
This workshop is for you if you have a valid Green Card that's at least 5 years old (or 3 years if you're married to a U.S. citizen), have lived in Texas for at least 3 months, are 18 or older, and can read, write, and speak basic English.
Please do not attend if you have any criminal history — including arrests, charges, or convictions, even if dismissed or expunged — or if you have ever had removal proceedings, a deportation order, or agreed to voluntary departure. If any of those apply to you, please consult with a licensed immigration attorney first.
We've been doing this work in Dallas for a long time, and there is nothing more meaningful than watching someone walk out of an event like this knowing they're one step closer to voting, to a U.S. passport, to bringing their family home. That could be you on March 28.
When you come, bring your Green Card, a photo ID, and written histories of where you've lived, where you've worked, and any travel outside the U.S. over the past five years. As a favor to everyone waiting for a seat, please plan for only the person applying to attend.

Sin cita. Sin costo. Te sentarás con un abogado o voluntario bilingüe, y cuando te vayas, tu solicitud N-400 estará revisada y lista para enviar a USCIS. RAICES también estará presente con una sesión de Conozca Sus Derechos abierta para todos los asistentes.
Este taller es para ti si tienes una Green Card válida con al menos 5 años de antigüedad (o 3 años si estás casado/a con un ciudadano o ciudadana americana), has vivido en Texas al menos 3 meses, tienes 18 años o más, y puedes leer, escribir y hablar inglés básico.
Por favor no asistas si tienes antecedentes penales de ningún tipo — incluyendo arrestos, cargos o condenas, aunque estén eliminados — o si alguna vez tuviste un proceso de deportación o remoción, una orden de deportación, o aceptaste salida voluntaria. Si alguna de esas situaciones aplica, consulta con un abogado de inmigración antes de continuar.
Llevamos mucho tiempo haciendo este trabajo en Dallas, y no hay nada más significativo que ver a alguien salir de un evento asà sabiendo que está un paso más cerca de votar, de tener un pasaporte americano, de reunirse con su familia. Eso podrÃas ser tú el 28 de marzo.
Cuando vengas, trae tu Green Card, una identificación con foto, e historiales escritos de dónde has vivido, dónde has trabajado, y cualquier viaje fuera de los Estados Unidos en los últimos cinco años. Como favor a quienes también esperan un lugar, te pedimos que solo asista la persona que está solicitando.
