The City of Dallas invites media to the inaugural Love Your Block (LYB) Awards Ceremony, celebrating the community-driven projects that are transforming neighborhoods across Dallas.
Love Your Block is a national Cities of Service initiative supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies and managed by the Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University. Since 2009, LYB has:

Engaged over 50,000 community members
- Revitalized more than 4,000 public spaces

Removed 6.7 million pounds of trash

Installed nearly 800 public art projects
Dallas is proud to be the newest city to join this impactful network. In its first year, Love Your Block – Dallas awarded more than $45,000 in mini-grants to 30 community-led projects across 11 council districts, funding efforts such as:

Beautification and murals

Waste reduction and litter cleanups

Educational initiatives
- Restoration and resiliency work
The awards ceremony will honor these accomplishments, showcase project successes, and highlight the residents and partners who are driving positive change across our city.
