The Code Compliance Connection

Small Actions. Big Impacts.

Vol. 1, Ed.1 - July 2025

LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR

letterfromthedirectorccs

As we launch the very first edition of The Code Compliance Connection, I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the work each of you contributes every day—both in the field and behind the scenes. This newsletter is not only a communication tool, but a celebration of the people, programs, and partnerships that make our department a leader in service and innovation.

Over the past year, we’ve achieved several major milestones—from the successful rollout of HealthSpace for our Consumer Health team to the national recognition of our department by the American Association of Code Enforcement. These accomplishments reflect our collective dedication to safeguarding and supporting a strong, healthy community.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on enhancing transparency, embracing technology, and delivering exceptional customer service. Whether it’s expanding our AI initiatives, improving neighborhood engagement, or navigating evolving policy landscapes, we are committed to doing more—with excellence, empathy, equity, ethics, and engagement.

Thank you for being part of this important work. I’m excited about what lies ahead, and I hope this newsletter keeps you informed, inspired, and connected.

- Chris Christian, Director of Code Compliance

"So thankful that they had this available in the southern sector (Oak Cliff) of town. Please do it at least once a year. Everything was very organized, the helpers were kind and kept the cars moving. It was so smooth—I never had to get out of my car. Thank you City of Dallas, Code Enforcement Department."
