Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson’s statement on the hiring of a new Inspector General
DALLAS — Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, released the following statement on the hiring of a new Inspector General:
“I am proud to announce that the City of Dallas has officially hired Timothy J. Menke as its new Inspector General. Since taking office in 2019, improving transparency and accountability at City Hall has been one of my key initiatives. That is why I established the Office of Inspector General three years ago, which the people of Dallas then enshrined in the City Charter as a permanent, independent office in November.
“Moving forward with Timothy J. Menke as the city’s new Inspector General, I am confident this office will even better serve the people of Dallas and foster our residents’ trust in their government.”
