Whether you're an architecture enthusiast or simply curious about the stories behind the buildings you see every day, this event is sure to captivate and inspire. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with the past through the lens of architecture and memory!
Participants can share their personal stories and cultural experiences through architectural drawings and illustrations. There will be a brief introduction to architectural drawing techniques and the history of American art. Then, participants will create drawings and cut images from magazines that reflect their interpretation of Americana, blending their cultural heritage with elements of American life. Collage-based workshop. We'll provide all materials.

Come join us at the Latino Cultural Center for an exciting event where we delve into the connection between space and identity. You will create maps that trace their journey to where they are now, both geographically and metaphorically. These maps can include important landmarks, cultural symbols, and memories that have shaped their identity.
Explore these themes of place and identity through personal and collective mapping exercises. Then, participants can share their maps, discussing how their personal experiences intersect with broader themes of Americana. We'll provide all materials.
