 In this exhibit, Ronaldo Bolaños reflects on the intersection of memory, migration
and identity. Inspired by his own family’s immigrant journey, Bolaños uses photography
to capture moments that transcend mere documentation. Pulling inspiration from
his family photo albums, Bolaños taps into emotions of joy, nostalgia, and longing
that helped shape his understanding of the deep connection between people and their
memories.
Amor Enterno aims to push back against the reductive portrayals of immigrants found
in mainstream culture, particularly that of Mexican immigrants, shifting focus from the
narratives of trauma and struggle to the everyday moments that embody the richness
of life. Through his lens, Bolaños encourages viewers to rethink the immigrant experience
