Dallas City Council meeting will be delayed for emergency item posting

DALLAS — The City Council briefing on Wednesday will be delayed for an hour to accommodate the posting of an emergency item.

Here is the text of the emergency item:

An emergency addition to the agenda for the meeting of the Dallas City Council being
held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, 9:00 a.m. is hereby posted pursuant to Section
551.045 of the Texas Government Code (Texas Open Meetings Act) to discuss and act
on the following matter:

1. Legal issues related to Executive Order, GA-14, issued March 31.

This emergency supplemental item is necessary to address an imminent threat and urgent public necessity created by the potential conflict between Executive Order, GA14, and the City of Dallas’s Third Amended Emergency Regulations regarding religious and worship services.

This notice was posted in compliance with Section 551.045 of the Texas Open Meetings Act on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The media was notified in compliance with Section 551.047 of the Texas Open Meetings Act.
