Mayor O'Connor Announces New Executive Team Members at URA and HACP
Pittsburgh, PA – In working towards his goal to promote growth throughout Pittsburgh, Mayor Corey O’Connor has announced two new executive team members at the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Housing Authority for the City of Pittsburgh (HACP). Majestic Lane will be the Deputy Executive Director & Chief Strategy Officer at the URA and Oliver Beasley will be the Chief Strategy Officer at the HACP.
Lane brings over 25 years of experience in strategic equitable growth and economic development in industries ranging from nonprofit to education to government. In his role at the URA, he’ll provide agencywide strategic leadership about the future of economic development and advance high-profile multidisciplinary initiatives.
“We have to shift the city’s approach to growth from hearing no to getting to yes,” said Mayor Corey O’Connor. “Majestic has experience pushing forward change in areas like community engagement, job growth, workforce development, housing and business development. He has a unique ability to blend community experiences, research, data and policy into equitable strategies that don’t just say yes, but here’s how.”
With experience in community engagement, policy, inclusive economic growth and development, MWBE management and housing initiatives, Beasley’s career includes time in government as well as the community and economic development nonprofit space. As HACP’s Chief Strategy Officer, he’ll align government agencies with external partners to streamline efforts, leverage resources and accelerate citywide development.
“Oliver has a proven track record, in government and in nonprofits, of managing successful initiatives that make government services more equitable, accessible and effective for residents,” Mayor O’Connor remarked. “His work shows that economic growth and excellent public services expand pathways that will create real opportunities to enhance the quality of life for all residents.”
Beasley has already started his role with the HACP and Lane will start with the URA on January 20, 2026.
