Role Overview: As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the construction development team in managing various aspects of venue projects across the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with an experienced Director of Project Management and gain hands-on knowledge in the construction industry, venue development, and project coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in coordinating and managing venue construction projects, ensuring timely and successful execution
- Support administrative tasks such as project documentation, scheduling, and budget tracking
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes during project planning and execution
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and project success
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor progress and address construction-related issues
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project milestones and updates to stakeholders
- Work on M/WBE subcontractor procurement initiatives to ensure diversity and inclusion in the construction process

Manchester Community Meeting Recap
On January 14th, District 6 residents gathered for a Manchester Community Meeting to discuss the latest developments in the neighborhood, including the Esplanade project, the Transit Revitalization Investment District (TRID), and future infrastructure plans.
Key Meeting Highlights:
Project Background & Timeline – Councilman Lavelle provided an overview of the multi-year planning process that began in 2015 to rezone Pittsburgh’s riverfronts and improve connectivity between Manchester and Chateau.
Esplanade Master Plan Approval – The Pittsburgh City Planning Commission approved the Esplanade Master Plan in November 2024, focusing on infrastructure, traffic, and building uses. However, no construction has been approved yet, and future phases must go through additional review and approvals.
Understanding the TRID (Transit Revitalization Investment District) – The URA explained how the Manchester-Chateau TRID will be used to fund key infrastructure improvements over the next two years, paving the way for future development.
Next Steps for Development – Piatt (formerly Millcraft) emphasized that while planning continues, no immediate construction is starting, and the community will have multiple opportunities for input as designs progress.
Commitment to Community Engagement – The community will have **ongoing involvement in project approvals**, ensuring transparency and opportunities to provide feedback as plans evolve.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session led by Councilman Lavelle, addressing resident concerns and reaffirming the commitment to inclusive and community-driven development.
