Crane Avenue Emergency Closure
Roadway Closed Due to Unsafe Railway Trestle
Pittsburgh, PA – Today, after a privately-owned dump truck collided with a railway trestle own and operated by Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway near the intersection of Crane Ave. and SR-51 (Saw Mill Run Blvd.), Crane Avenue has been closed to traffic.
The closure takes place between Crane Ave. at SR-51 and Crane Ave. at Dagmar Ave. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and follow the posted detour sign.
The roadway is expected to reopen as soon as the railway trestle is inspected and cleared.
