Pittsburgh's Juneteenth Celebration: FusionFest
Postponed to Sunday, June 30th Due to Weather
Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh’s sponsored Juneteenth Celebration, "FusionFest: Echoes of Our Ancestors, Beats of the Future," originally scheduled for Saturday, June 29, HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED to Sunday, June 30 due to the inclement weather that is being forecasted for Saturday. This extraordinary event will take place from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The celebration will span four vibrant locations in and around the Greenwood Plan Building, 213 Smithfield Street, featuring 45 Performers and 40 Visual Artists, and over 65 Vendors, creating an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in Pittsburgh’s rich Black culture and arts scene.
Get ready for a day brimming with art, fashion, food, music, and dance, offering something for everyone in the family. The Main Stage on the Boulevard of the Allies will showcase a spectacular array of music performances, representing genres from gospel and afro beats to jazz and hip hop, ensuring a musical journey like no other.
At the Corner of Smithfield and Third Avenue, step into the Mocha Lounge, a unique space where “creativity and conversation” come alive. Fantasy Zellars, Founder & President of Bounce Marketing & Events, expressed her excitement about leading this significant event. "FusionFest is a collaboration of artists, community leaders, and stakeholders coming together to celebrate and uplift the best that Black Culture has to offer in our City. The reason we call it FusionFest is because it embodies the fusion of talents and efforts from diverse contributors. FusionFest is not just an event; it’s a celebration of Pittsburgh’s rich Black culture and vibrant arts scene," Zellars said. "Families will see and experience the best in art, fashion, food, music, and dance right in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh."
